Battery Recycling w/ Eucan Bins = Alkaline Spill

Not that I need to point out, again, how ridiculously illogical the Eucan megabins are, but I can't help but share today's observation.

Waiting for a bus, I look over and notice the battery slot. Before I can finish the thought process of wondering if anyone uses it, I look down and notice that attempts have, in fact, been made. Unfortunately, Eucan apparently forgot to include some sort of retaining device INSIDE the bin (at least at this and another location further along).

The result: Every battery that's dumped in, just ended up hitting the sidewalk, rolling onto the street and poisoning our environment. At this spot, there were about 15-20 out for a roll.

(Way to go City Hall.)
