Toronto is #10

When the people of Toronto aren't tearing down Dose boxes they are building up, er, buildings. The onslaught of condos and to a lesser extent office towers has given Toronto the 10th best skyline in the world.

Emporis ranks the skylines based on height, not on beauty. Hong Kong came in first followed by New York; Toronto is between Sao Paulo and Guangzhou (Vancouver came in 27th). Emporis also keeps tabs on projected buildings and buildings that were never built, my favorite being the Eaton's on College Street. A neat way to look at what Toronto looks like and could've looked like. Maybe we could've done better than 10, but then again....
