10,000 to Flight hope to make you LOL tonight at The Comedy Bar as they preview their new show, The LIVE improvised CARTOON.

When I caught them a few months ago doing a short improv performance at The Cameron House, I was easily amused by their off-the-cuff banter and quick-witted charm. They take delight in playing with their audiences, often catching them off guard.

There's actually just two members in the troupe: Julie Dumais and Mark Andrada. Together they've got an undeniable chemistry on stage. Now they've teamed up with Rene Dellefont from Atlanta, GA, creator of The Live Improvised Cartoon. So expect to see some flash animation created live on stage as Dumais, Andrada and other comedic talent improvise the voices from the side of the stage.

I'm not sure how this all fits together, but it sounds fresh and exciting. Something a little different this weekend during the film festival.

The show runs Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. at The Comedy Bar (945 Bloor Street W.). All shows are $8 ($5 student/artist).
