It's always a delight to see what art Toronto's newest talent is producing. Student shows, while sometimes hit or miss, are often worth the time. Whether it's the excitement of seeing their work on the wall for the first time, or that their spirits haven't yet been crushed by the reality of the art world, artwork made by young people has a certain freshness that is often lacking from more mature artists. That's why tonight I'm going to be attending the opening reception of the U of T Visual Studies thesis class's end-of-year show, "Memoranda".

"For the last year, third and fourth year students enrolled in U of T's Visual Studies program have been working collaboratively to organize an exhibition of their artwork, " writes Elizabeth Underhill in her article for U of T's student rag, The Newspaper.

"Memoranda" is on display at 30 St Clair Ave. W. Suite 103, from 11am-5pm, and officially opens Saturday April 8 from 5pm-11pm with an introduction by Associate Chair of Visual Studies Lisa Steele. "Memoranda" continues from 11am-5pm, April 11th,12th and 13th, and closes on the 15th .
