The Gladstone Hotel - Give Weird a Chance?

I recently found myself attending an event at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West). Canzine - and I decided it was just a little bit on the odd side as I was confronted by a flapping black trenchcoat... carrying a dead white squirrel... proclaiming to be the featured psychic of the event. Announcements throughout the day advertised upstairs showcases including a Quadroplegic concert, and a naked man of sorts. Huh. So I've been browsing the website, and it's confirmed. If you're up for surreal, strange, or more subtly titled "an experience" - keep up with the happenings at this venue. Burlesque shows, indie readings, shopping events, dances - there are no limits to the variety offered. What it takes the average person to experience in a lifetime, I promise you can soak up in just one night. Coming soon are... The Wetspots Big Ass Show, Hump Day Bump, Swamperella, People Still Gots to Eat, and many, many more.
