SHOOTING WATER--A BLOGTO EXCLUSIVE

Earlier we mentioned that Bollywood Hollywood director Deepa Mehta's film Water set to open this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

Metha's daughter, Devyani Saltzman, worked on the film as well and has a book coming out called Shooting Water under Key Porter Books that will come out in October.

Estranged from her mother after Metha and husband Canadian director and producer Paul Saltzman divorced, Devyani had the chance to reunite with her mom and build a relationship with her throughout the production in India, until it was shut down by fundamentalist attacks, and through it's production on a secret location in Sri Lanka. I had the chance to quickly chat with Devyani about her big upcoming projects.

Devyani told me after that this was her first interview on the subject of the book.
