Shuttered Toronto restaurant known for east-coast food has resurfaced inside a pub

A Toronto restaurant that was operating out of a bar that closed down about a year ago has finally resurfaced in a new home.

Rosy Kitchen was known for east-coast-style takes on favourites like burgers and donair.

Unfortunately, the food concept had to take a big step back when the owner of the building that housed the sports bar Rosy was operating out of decided to sell. They had hoped to be there for a while and had big plans including brunch and live music, but those couldn't be lived out at that location.

Now, they're popping up again at Kilt & Harp on Danforth East.

Around the end of August they announced they'd be doing Sunday supper at the pub, selling out of an inital "proper curry" dinner that was available for dine-in or pickup from noon to 8 p.m.

As September began, Rosy's social media indicated this would be a regular occurence, taking on the moniker "The Commodore Kitchen." Expanded options included the curry with a vegetarian option this time, a schnitzel sandwich, chili con carne, and even red or white sangria.

It seems like this is their M.O. for now, the menu staying pretty similar while cocktail options like mojitos are swapped in. Hopefully now that they've found a new home base, Rosy Kitchen will be here to stay this time.
