Toronto restaurant space consumed by fire is being reborn for $7k per month

Back in June 2017, a five-alarm fire at Ryus Noodle Bar at 33 Baldwin Street saw the departure of the acclaimed ramen joint from the neighbourhood.

Now, the space the restaurant used to occupy has been revamped and made available for rent for $6,900 per month

The fiery blaze that engulfed a block of restaurants and businesses along Baldwin Street with smoke was quickly tended to by 44 trucks and 30 crews from Toronto Fire.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident and the fire was downgraded to a two-alarm fire by 4 p.m. that afternoon.

Ryus Noodle Bar has since moved over to 786 Broadview Avenue, serving up the same rich ramen bowls they've come to be praised for.

According to a new listing on realtor.ca, the former restaurant space is located in a brand new building that provides just shy of 1,200 square feet of retail area, as well as a 960-square-foot basement.

The area does see a lot of foot traffic during the summer season, so whichever business does eventually take over the space will undoubtedly experience a similar level of success as the cherished ramen spot.
