Negroni Week Toronto

Negroni week set to land in Toronto

Negroni Week, a worldwide celebration of a drink that's become progressively more popular over the last few years, takes place from June 2nd to 8th. In Toronto, 10 participating bars and restaurants will mix up new twists on the classic gin, vermouth and Campari cocktail and support a charitable cause of their choice by donating a portion of each sale.

Red Sauce, for one, will be doing its signature Draught Negroni ($6) on the rocks, while Souz Dal plans to craft a version with salty black liquorice flavoured bitters and hints of vanilla. Let's hope someone does a version with a bit of Aperol in addition to the Campari, as that's a great little tweak that smoothes the drink out a bit.

Other participating bars include Banu, The Senator, La Carnita, The Whippoorwill, Ursa, SpiritHouse, Miller Tavern on Bay and College Street Bar.

My oh my, that's a lot of drinking to do.
