Toronto-based designer Noah Ortmann created a mock-up of a city-wide library passport and posted it to Reddit this past August. He generated a lot of buzz both on social and traditional media, so now he's finally bringing his project to life.

Since noon yesterday, Ortmann has been selling his Toronto Library Passport online for $10. These 36-page, cleanly designed booklets are also available at the Toronto-centric Spacing Store. Ortmann hopes to have them in Page and Panel (the Toronto Comic Arts Festival's shop), which is appropriately located inside the Toronto Reference Library, soon.

Ortmann estimates that by 4:00 p.m. yesterday, he'd already sold 100 copies of his passport -- that's one for each public library in Toronto.
