Huge retail space at one of Toronto's most prominent corners is about to go vacant

One of Toronto's most notable retail spaces at the bustling intersection of Yonge and Dundas is officially up for lease.

Documents released by global real estate investment firm, BentallGreenOak, reveal that the iconic Adidas retail store located at 10 Dundas Street East will be vacating the premises, presenting a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for businesses looking for Toronto's most coveted location."

The nearly 6,700-square-foot store is situated at the northeast corner of the intersection of Yonge Street and Dundas Street, and located on the ground floor of the 340,000-square-foot retail, office, and entertainment complex, currently known as The Tenor.

Aside from the Adidas store, the building is home to a Cineplex Cinemas 23-screen movie theatre, Starbucks, The Beer Store, Jack Astor's, Milestones, Winners, and a Dollarama. But the complex is perhaps best known for its glittering Times Square-inspired ad frontage.

Owners advertise the location's proximity to notable landmarks such as CF Toronto Eaton Centre, City Hall, Nathan Phillips Square, CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), and Massey Hall

The space is accessible by the TTC's Dundas station on the Line 1 Yonge subway, and the extensive downtown pedestrian PATH network, putting it in easy access to millions.

The store has been occupied by Adidas since 2008, however, a new tenant now has the opportunity to take advantage of the bold signage that's available on both Yonge and Dundas streets.

The Yonge-Dundas intersection is one of the busiest in Canada, with over 100,000 people crossing the pedestrian scramble on a daily basis, meaning the store's new occupant will see plenty of foot traffic seven days a week.

Although it's not known who the new tenant will be, we'll leave it to you to guess what major retailer will be calling the significant space its new home.
