Dollarama In Vogue

I hate "dollar" stores that are really dollars stores where you end up paying $2 or more for something that should only cost $1 or less. I also hate dollar stores that carry so much useless junk, it makes you wonder whether it's a business or a garbage dump.

But Dollarama? Now that's a different story.

I am so addicted to that place. As a university student, Dollarama was my answer for everything from extension cords to cake pans to christmas lights to gag gifts and who knows that else; things that would have cost me several dollars each elsewhere. Their store is always well organized, clean, and has a huge selection.

Recently, I realized it is also a treasure chest of fashion accessories. Dollarama in vogue? Take a closer look and you may just find the items to perfect that outfit.

If the fashion magazines these past few months have been any indication, headbands will be the next "it" item. Dollarama's got it covered! I just picked up five bandanas (see photo) after much help from a sales associate at the Bay and Charles W. location who balanced precariously on a wobbly ladder for more colors. Aside from the ones shown, there are also floral, flames, solids, camo, and more. I saw the same bandanas in other stores for $3-5 each. They looked super cute tied in a bow on top or as a wide headband, especially with those oversized dark sunglasses so popular now.

Take a peak in the crafts section for ribbons, shells, and beads if you're feeling a little more crafty. The kids' section also has great picks with fun plastic bracelets for the summertime.
