LeBron James endorsed pizza chain coming to Toronto

Basketball star LeBron James is associated with a soon to open restaurant that'll be slinging fast and gourmet pizza in Toronto. Blaze Pizza, which currently has dozens of locations south of the border, will soon open up in the old Johnny Rocket's space at Yonge Dundas Square.

This will be Canada's first location of the pizza chain - a second one is schedule to open in Calgary this year. While an official opening date for either has yet to be announced, the franchise is part of a wave of pizza places promising to cook your pie in three minutes or less.

The menu features the usual range of options as well as gluten, dairy-free and seafood options. Beer, wine and a s'more pies for dessert are also in the mix.

LeBron James? Don't expect him to be layering pepperoni slices in Toronto anytime soon. He's actually the franchisee of ten Blaze Pizza locations in Florida. His endorsement of the fast growing franchise has created buzz in the States but it remains to be seen whether the company's marketing and PR machine will leverage his involvement when the Toronto location opens.
