Toronto's Comfort Zone is known for its late night and early morning parties and unfortunately, its run-ins with the cops. Now, the after-hours club is suing Toronto Police Services, and former police chief Bill Blair, as the Toronto Star reports.

As the Star writes, the $23 million lawsuit is claiming an "abuse of power" from police over the past eight years.

Back in 2008, Toronto Police linked a drug overdose to the College and Spadina club and raided it, charging more than 30 people, including five staff members, and seizing $35,000 in cash and $30,000 worth of drugs.

The lawsuit alleges that since then, as the Star notes, police have raided the Comfort Zone more than 50 times, harassing patrons and staff, in an attempt to shut it down.

None of these allegations have been proven in court.
